So if you want to check, try a clean reinstallation of flash player, maybe together with reinstallation of wacom drivers. I didn't have to worry about it with SAI since it's such a light software, but I guess now I have TT 7 TT (why sai, why.)

Oh, by the way, you can use this as another method to get your wacom tablet back to work - I don't know why and if it's just me, but I've realised wacom drivers and flash player are extremly dependent on one another! My tablet seems to work much faster with PS and youtube closed (even if firefox itself takes above 1gb of ram O_o). I never had to use it for SAI till now, but since I've had to reinstall Flash Player after it crashed my computer during working in SAI and watching youtube, the pen started lagging, and nothing - even reinstalling flash player/wacom drivers/sai again - would help me. I'm using Prio and Above Normal priority for Photoshop since last year (for recording drawing videos without lags, so that the recording software won't "take away" PS's share of RAM.) It helped me: The Sai cursor seems to lag a bit, (but it always does in every drawing program I use) but the brush stroke itself follows the pen precisely and is responsive in real time. Your system will start to choke or freeze completly.Īlso, don't bother with changing the priority of any of the wacom driver processes - from my experience I know it helps nothing (I even used to set it to low back in the day)

Here's the instruction how to do it: 3) Thanks to Prio, you don't have to worry about changing Sai's priority every time you open Sai/reboot computer (without it they reset to default every time).Ĥ) Don't set the value to High or Real time, especially if you have weak computer. This means a different workflow or end goal determines which software is the best for you.

Seems that for some reason the RAM distribution was messed up (even if everything else was closed, maybe due to some background processes or latest updates).Īnyway, if you'd like to use my method, I'd reccommend to find out what changing the priority of the processes in Windows task manager is about and how it helps : /civis/viewtopi… (this is quite helpfull in my opinion, but feel free to Google something else)ġ) Install Prio software from this website: 2) After you install it and reboot the computer, open SAI, and then open task manager and change the priority of sai.exe *32 from Normal to Above Normal. Answer (1 of 4): What is good is proportional to how productive you are when you're using the software. I changed the priority of sai.exe process in task manager from Normal to Above Normal, and it helped greatly. Unfortunately nothing I could find regarding drivers/SAI software helped, up until I decided to use what I already use for improving Photoshop speed. I've randomly started experiencing brush lag in SAI too.
